Retirement planning

Pensions and options for retirement

Pension schemes

The College offers three contributory pension schemes to its eligible staff:

  • Superannuation Arrangements for the University of London – SAUL
  • University Superannuation Scheme – USS
  • National Health Service – NHSPS

For each of these schemes the College also contributes a percentage of your pensionable pay in order to guarantee your benefits. In addition to this benefit, joining one of the pension schemes will give you immediate life cover, an inflation-proofed pension and long-term illness cover.

Whether you are considering joining a scheme, are already a member, thinking about retirement or are already taking your pension, our pension webpages will provide you with scheme information, answers to your queries and direct you to further sources of information.

Retirement options

Whether you are interested in the possibility of early retirement, working after you retire or wish to fully retire our approaching retirement webpage contains a wealth of information to inform you on the options available.

Inspiring and connecting women of the College.

The Women's Club provides opportunities for women to network at College meeting people from other Faculties as well as Campuses. Lunches take place in elegent dining room surroundings during the months of February, May and November.  During the year, the Book Group and Day Events Group meet too.

As well as current staff, the Club warmly welcomes retired women of the College.
