The Sports Partnership is an alliance between Sport Imperial and Imperial College Union to oversee the development of student sport at Imperial.
The aims of the Partnership are to implement the recommendations of the College Sports Strategy. The Partnership will promote and enhance the performance and participation in student sport across the College in a safe environment through professionalism, relevant administrative support systems and advice.
The Partnership is supported by a full time Administrator, who will help to implement the Partnership's aims. The Partnership seeks to encourage and support students to participate in organised sports participation through intra mural, campus sport, sports club activities and competition; to implement a BUCS (formerly BUSA) performance strategy to maximise the performance of Imperial College representative teams and improve our BUCS ranking; to formalise the procedures for the Sports Ambassador/Volunteering scheme; to develop and implement a formalised structure for the payment, management and monitoring of coaches and instructors for student teams and individuals; to coordinate a single Sports Awards dinner for all Imperial sports teams; and to centrally administer all affiliations to National Governing Bodies and other relevant sports bodies for student sports teams.
