The Imperial College Volleyball Club (ICVC) competes at a high level with the men's and women's teams both in BUCS First Division. 

The Imperial College Volleyball Club (ICVC), is open to players of all levels, as it competes at a high level of British University Volleyball whilst also providing a platform for beginners and intermediate players to develop on and gain experience.

For competitive players, the Men’s and a Women’s team in the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) league are currently both in the first division, pushing for promotion into the Premiership. The BUCS men’s team held 2nd place in 1st division and won the BUCS trophy. The BUCS women team qualified 3rd in 1st division.The Women’s team in the local London League, provides an on-court experience for everyone and allow for non-competitive players to take part and build up their skills.

Coaches and training

Training sessions are divided according to competency level:

Advanced (BUCS-level)

  • Tuesdays 20.00 - 22.00 -  Ethos
  • Thursdays 18.00 - 20.00 - Kensington Aldridge Academy

Men and women are coached once a week. Each week the teams alternate the training location. 

Beginners and Intermediate (LUSL League) players

Saturdays - Ethos

  • 17.00 - 18.30 - men
  • 18.30 - 20.00 - women


The women’s coach is Juan Campos. He’s been training the women’s team for the past two years, bringing the BUCS team back to 1st division.

The men’s coach is Ercument Karakoc, an extremely qualified coach that has been training the volleyball club for many years.
